If you're a
keen traveller and enjoy exploring the forest regions of Western
Australia, you will find many grand experiences waiting to be
discovered in the Inland South West of the state.
Many of the
towns in this area were built in the early years of settlement,
and if you love nostalgia there are a number of historical
buildings that are worth visiting. The City of Bunbury, which is
a busy port and popular holiday destination, is the hub of this
region.
Further south
you will encounter the southern forests and the Blackwood River
Valley, as well as tranquil towns such as Pemberton and Nannup
which are home to the old growth forests of tall karri trees.
For the
energetic and adventurous, there are several national parks and
walk trails waiting to be explored.
The Inland
South West presents a relatively quiet and peaceful landscape
with a number of quaint art and craft galleries, cafés and
restaurants, and peaceful country getaways, making this a
wonderful place to unwind and enjoy fresh, country atmosphere.
